UPCOMING: AHSAN IS A ‘SOUL SINGER’
Interscope Records artist Ahsan has music in his bones. The fourteen-year-old singer says, “I sang in church, that was the first place I sung. My mom, my aunts, everybody basically sings. And from my dad’s side, my grandfather made some songs for Donny Hathaway.”
Ahsan’s remarkable pitch and impressive range have gotten him nearly 200,000 YouTube views for his rendition of Smokey Robinson’s hit “Who’s Loving You.”
The young musician’s love of classics has helped him stand out from other singers his age trying to break into the biz. “They tell me I have a old soul trying to bring back classic music,” the talented youngster tweeted. ”It can be done[,] let’s go!”
