MALAYSIA PARGO TALKS JEWELRY AND KIDS

It’s been nearly a year since ‘Basketball Wives’ star Malaysia Pargo launched her jewelry line for children, and all is well for the CEO and mother of three. Malaysia recently told Sister 2 Sister magazine that she named the line ‘Three Beats’ because her children are “the three heartbeats after my own heart.”

When asked about her decision to create extravagant jewelry for kids Pargo said, “I wanted my jewelry to be a keepsake piece, something you pass down from line to line—I wanted it to mean something. I felt like it was a market out there, it was fun to do, [and] no one’s really doing it.”

So how does the newly CEO of ‘Three Beats,’ wife, and mother of three manage to meet career obligations and family needs? “What I do is when I am at work, I’m at work, [and] when I’m at home, I’m at home. I’m a wife first, mother second and a worker last.”

Pargo’s jewelry is sold at the Cosmopolitan Hotel, Jason’s of Beverly Hills, and on her website. The reality television star is currently working on a women’s line, expected to debut later this year. A portion of the proceeds from ‘Three Beats’ goes to enrich the lives of children at the Watts-Willowbrook Boys & Girls Club.

Sorry children should come first, they didn’t ask to be here. No wonder there is so much dysfunction in the Black community. Black women always put a man above all.

I know a woman who allowed her husband to sexually abuse her daughter from age 7-18. She had 2 children by him before she was 15. She’s still married to him…oh well…husband before kids…right?

She said it right….believe me ….being that wife first is what keeps your husband.

A lot of people get divorced or break up after having kids because those kids become first priority and they forget about their partner…

Keep doing you girl and keeping your beautiful family first

God, Husband, Kids and all else in that order like the good book says

Well if thats how she structures it by all means. But your children should come second after GOD ! Then ur spouse n then work. God forbid something happens btween u and ur spouse. Ur gonna always be a mother !

In many christian households, we’re raised to believe its: God, spouse than child.
the very reason for making a marriage second is for the children. The children need the parents to be cohesive and united. They need to see the example of the parents loving one another and valuing each other above anything else they value in their lives. Then the couple can have what they need to focus on their children.

I guess she thinks if her husband’s not first, there’s no way for her family to have a great structure.
I had to stop and think after reading that myself. Makes sense, I guess.

  • Unqbaby September 17, 2012 at 1:08 pm

Sorry….but I will always be a mother first. Men come and get, your children will always be your children.

I know a lot women who say they are “A wife first a mother second” .. That use to baffle me but hey whatever works best for you and your household .. Personally for me the only thing that comes before my children is God himself other than that ……….
    Cute kids by the way
