Sixteen-year-old Trevor Jackson is best known for his most recent roles as Kris McDuffy in Disney’s movie “Let It Shine” and his role as Kevin Blake in Syfy’s Eureka, but his love and skills as a Broadway actor and singer/songwriter have put him in a league of his own. The industrious teen took a few moments out to sit down with Teendiaries.net to discuss how he got started, actors he’d like to work with and more. Check out the highlights below:
On how he got involved in acting:
It started from dancing, then one thing led to another when I was 7 yrs old and we went on a dance trip in NYC. They told my Mom to put me in anything but dance when we got back home since they already knew I could do that. I auditioned for the local Beef & Boards Christmas show and got the lead. After that, I was blessed to be Young Simba in Broadway Show of The Lion King for three years and I have been acting ever since.
On actors he’d like to work with:
Some actors I would love to work with are Denzel Washington, Will Smith, Sean Penn, Tom Hardy, Robert DeNiro and many more…
On upcoming projects:
I do have a couple of episodes of Austin & Ally that should be airing soon. But right now I’m concentrating on music so I’m busy in the studio recording.
On how his fans can connect with him:
I love to connect with the fans! They can hit me up on twitter and instagram @trevorjackson5. My Facebook is facebook.com/OfficialTrevorJackson and my website is officialtrevorjackson.com.
