CONNIE BRITTON TALKS ADOPTION AND MORE WITH ‘REDBOOK’

Almost a year after adopting Baby Yoby, Connie Britton opened up about her decision to become a mom. “I always knew I wanted a child, and I always assumed I’d be doing it with a man,” said Britton during an interview with Redbook.

The actress further explained, “My parents passed away within three years of each other. Right after that, a light bulb went off in my head and I thought, ‘What am I waiting for?’ I wasn’t in a relationship at the time, but I thought, ‘This is something I want to do. I can do it.’”

As a mother and actress, Britton has quite a lot in common with Angelina Jolie and Sandra Bullock. She even joked about starting a celebrity adoption club with the actresses. “Me and Angelina [Jolie] and Sandra Bullock and Mary-Louise Parker [could] just get together every weekend, drink rosé, and talk about kids,” said Britton.

The actress continued, “No, that is not the case. Not that I wouldn’t love to get together with all of them and discuss their experiences. But there is a community of people who have adopted children from Ethiopia, and that’s something I want to be a part of for sure. To me it’s really important for my son to have a strong sense of that background.”

I swear that she reminds me of Angie Everhart.

I am glad to see another celebrity adopting a foreign or black child.

He is so handsome! I am glad she wants him to know of his culture, race etc. That is great.

SN: IMO I’m starting to think they have an obsession with black babies/kids (LOL) Nothing wrong with adopting them just making a statement.

NOW THAT IS A GORGEOUS LITTLE BOY! AFRICANS ARE SO BEAUTIFUL!

Yoby is adorable! I don’t care why they adopted, I’m glad they did so I can see all these children’s beautiful faces.

OAN: The ads not only attack you by taking over the screen with their size but they talk too. :D .

What web browser are you using? Try Google Chrome, they have an add-on called ‘AdBlock’ which blocks all ads & pop ups. I never have to deal w/ all that stuff lol. I went on this site once on another browser and it took forever to load & was looking around for where the noise was coming from lol

Ummm Louis is from New Orleans… or so I thought anyway.

Regardless I think the idea of a support group is great and the baby is beautiful

Maybe I should have elaborated on a few things in common. By that I meant:
      a) they are in interracial families.
      b) they are adopted.
      c) they have hollywood moms.
      d) they are in the same age group.

And yes Louis was born in New Orleans, Jackson was born in the USA & Yoby in Ethiopia.

I do not like that baby name. And I don’t know who she is.lol sorry.

she’s on that new show on ABC called Nashville.

her son’s name is Ethiopian so it’s not like it’s some made up name.

Yoby! such a cutie. It would be so cool if Yoby, Louis and Jackson Theron had a play date; since their all boys and have a few things in common.

I can just picture it now, with Louis taking charge and mean mugging those poor boys left, right and centre if they cross the line. :)
