BRANDY WANTS TO KNOW WHAT IT’S LIKE TO BE MOM TO A BOY

Brandy Norwood is aiming to have another child one day, preferably a boy. The singer and songwriter recently told Essence that she’d love to have a son to hold and cherish. “I want to know what it’s like to be a mom to a boy,” said the singer. “I hear boys love their mom. My daughter is crazy about me. If it can get any better than this, I just want to see!”

Brandy’s newest album Two Eleven hit stores earlier this week with the cool song ‘No Such Thing as Too Late’ on its lineup. Although written for a general audience, Norwood had Sy’rai,10, in mind when recording it because the tween is growing up so quickly right in front of her eyes. As Brandy explains, “They’re already on the human body at school. I’m like, ‘Girl, if you ask me one more question about the human body, we’re going to have to get you another place to stay’ because it’s hard for me to come up with analogies. I love that she can come to me and communicate with me about everything. I’ve told her, ‘Mommy [is] allowed a five-minute freak out. I promise it won’t last over five minutes.’ She says, ‘Mom, you’re overreacting,’ and I’ll be like, ‘I’ve got 30 more seconds and I’ll be back to normal.’”

Sy’rai is Brandy and ex-boyfriend Robert Smith’s only child together.

Awww I can’t wait to have a kid so I can talk with him/her about all this puberty stuff. I might be like Brandy have to take a moment to think. I’m 30 now and still child less so I’m giving myself until I’m 32.

“‘Mom, you’re overreacting,’ and I’ll be like, ‘I’ve got 30 more seconds and I’ll be back to normal.’” Too funny :P

I must say boys are definitely different than girls.

My daughter is VERY MUCH a Mama’s girl and my son is a VERY MUCH a Mama’s boy, but it does seem different…she comes across like she MUST/WANTS to be with me and he comes across more like he MUST/NEEDS to be with me. It’s kinda hard to explain.

I do same thing with my son. Give me 5 minutes to freak out when you mention\ask\inform me something that is remotely related to sex. Need time to get the images out of my head, not to mention the ‘my baby isn’t a baby anymore’ thoughts. Afterwards, I’m ready to tackle whatever he throws at me.

Boys are awesome! I am proud to have the best teenager in the world as my son! :D

Lol at Brandy freaking out at her daughter learning about the human body (aka puberty). So funny.
Hope hope she has a boy as well, that would be great for her.

I hope her current boyfriend runs as fast as he can! She talked about marriage first now she wants another baby. Cute baby she’s holding though…

Brandy and her boyfriend are in a serious relationship. Don’t you think they would have talked about marriage and all this stuff before she opened up about it to the public? This is not the same Brandy from 10 years ago.

Side note: the Two Eleven album >>>>>>>>>>> best thing out
