TERRELL OWENS MAKES SON’S BIRTHDAY WISH A REALITY

Atlin Owens got his wish this year when dad Terrell Owens showed up at his birthday party. Atlin along with other guests were happy to see Terrell in attendance as it is the first time that the football player has come to any of his son’s birthday celebrations.

Atlin’s mom, Samelia, was ecstatic to see Terrell at the party telling her blog readers, “Like any parent, I always want the things I plan for Atlin to go well. My son has never had his father attend any of his birthday parties due to his absence over the past several years, as everyone already knows. That was first on his little birthday ‘wish’ list. Even with all of the chaos surrounding Terrell and I have in our lives, this year his NFL career wouldn’t be in the way and one would assume the superstar who goes by the name of ‘T.O.’ would not be a ‘No Show’ for his son’s special event.”

Terrell wasn’t a “no show,” and even assumed full daddy duty in distributing cake to attendees. Atlin is one of Terrell’s four children.

I agree. I just hope that this isn’t a one shot thing, you know. I hope he’s consistent with it also. Only he has the power to change the poison into medicine.

    Little man looks so happy!!!

Atlin is his twin. I’m glad he made his son’s day. That’s what counts the most. I too had a father like Terrell, except Terrell had babies with women who are gold diggers. I saw that episode of Dr. Phil and they had gold digger written all over them. He was too caught up on being T.O the football star to see that and got trapped. It’s never too late to change and I’m glad Terrell is starting to wake up. :)

    • moonforge October 26, 2012 at 5:13 pm

Terrel picked every last one of those “gold diggers”.

      • Iridescent Me. October 26, 2012 at 5:38 pm

Did you not hear me say that he was oblivious to it?? Meaning he was blindsided by the fame and being T.O?!? In simpler terms, he was able to pull any chick he wanted because of his fame. I believe I said that. Both him and the women are to blame. The women for being gold diggers and using children as a meal ticket and him for smelling himself, sleeping with them without protection and getting caught up.

I see what you are saying but, why are men still oblivious to what fame brings? There are so many other celebrities that have gone through it, they shouldn’t be surprised. It’s the same old story..men having several baby mamas & being broke 5-10 years after achieving the celebrity status. Does condoms get more expensive once you are a celebrity? Or does stupidity immediately accompany that status?

Are Terrell and Samelia together? I’m lost by this story :/

I’m sorry but I’m not impress. Congrats to him finally making a family event. However since the mother seemed so surprised by his attendance I’m gonna he had no parts in planning this birthday party. Its said the way T. O. treated his family when he had money. Now that he’s down on his luck he is trying to step in but he still failing.

    • Iridescent Me. October 26, 2012 at 12:31 pm

It’s not about impressing you. Look at the smile on his son’s face. It doesn’t matter as to what happened in his past. He is there now and now is what counts. It’s never too late. Give the man credit. Stop focusing so much on the negative and see the positive. That’s the problem with society today. They dwell too much on the past and negativity.

      • Shayna October 26, 2012 at 3:32 pm

No the problem with society is that people are so quick to “give credit” to people for doing stuff they should be doing. I’m not giving him “credit” for FINALLY making it to one of his son’s birthday parties. I’m criticizing him for not being around and challenging him to do better in the future.

And yes T.O. is out to impress me. He is out to impress all of us in hope that he will raise enough support to get signed to a team or to get a reality show. I’m not here for neither.

        • Sherley October 26, 2012 at 5:26 pm

I couldn’t have said it better myself & I agree with both your posts.

No credit given to parents doing what they are supposed to do..being parents.

Not me money grip. I can care less as to what he does with his life. Him and I have no connection whatsoever. It’s just nice to see him rebuilding relationships with his children and finally taking care of his responsibilities. He’s starting early with his children. They’re still young, so it’s easy. You can’t make him be there. He had to want to be there. He had to come to terms with what he was doing. I had to come to terms with this very same thing with my father. Accept him for who he is and do not let it effect me. Had I not forgiven him and still been bitter towards him. it would only kill my spirit, not his. “Do not judge me for my past. For I no longer live there.” (Words to live by.) Forgiveness is everything.

I’m glad the little guy had a good day and this his father showed up. I.M. your attitudes about men are pathetic and enabling. You readily criticize the women (who deserve criticism for having a child with someone they obviously shouldn’t have) but make excuses for T.O. at every turn. I don’t know where we get these loser attitudes. Just the type who treats little boys like men, but men like little boys.
