Gabby Douglas is making appearances all around the country to promote her new book, “Grace, Gold & Glory: My Leap of Faith.” In the book Gabby talks about how it felt to be away from her family when she moved to Iowa to pursue gymnastics. She described the emotions behind losing her desire for the sport and almost quitting to go work at Chick-fil-A so that she could be close to her family.
She discussed her father, Air Force Staff Sgt. Timothy Douglas, noting that he was not as supportive as he made himself seem to the media. The Olympic gold medalist also talks about her deep faith in God and overcoming racism to achieve her gold of wining the gold.
