Egypt Dean,2, and dad Swizz Beatz supported the New York Knicks at last night’s New York Knicks vs. Lakers game. Egypt, who represented for the Knicks by wearing a team jersey, didn’t crack a smile when a photographer tried to take him a picture during halftime.
Alicia Keys recently opened up about motherhood during a conversation with Scholastic saying, “What’s been surprisingly hard about becoming a mom is being away from [Egypt] and trying to find that magical balance for everything, which I kind of expected. But on the flip side, what’s been surprisingly easy is just how natural parenthood feels. I feel great about how easily I’ve fallen into the role. I love it! Being a parent has made me more open, more connected to myself, more happy, and more creative. I’m more discerning in what I do and how I do it. It’s just made me a better person all the way around.”
Keys has contributed much to the educational sector creating a new app, ‘The Journals of Mama Mae & LeeLee,’ that comes with a free e-book for children. Alicia’s fifth studio album, Girl On Fire, made its debut in online and traditional music stores last month. Egypt is featured on a number of tracks and has even helped his mom promote the new work. The little tot is Alicia and husband Swizz Beatz first child together.
