Super gymnast and Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas’ success has continued to rise in 2012. She was photographed and featured in TIME Magazine’s “Person of the Year,” where President Barack Obama graced the cover. Gabby was nominated for “Person of the Year” along with the President, Jay-Z and many other of 2012′s most well-known and influential people.
The Associated Press has also recognized Gabby’s abilities, naming her the “Female Athlete of the Year.” While she is busy promoting her best-selling book, “Grace, Gold and Glory, the super athlete is still keeping her eye in the prize. She plans to compete in the 2016 Olympics. As far as everything else goes, she said, “I think there’s even higher bars to set.” She adds, “I may be meeting cool celebrities and I’m getting amazing opportunities…But I’m still the same Gabby.”
