Sheree Whitfield is one of the stars on Real Housewives of Atlanta. The reality television celebrity and mother of three recently sat down with Vibe to discuss her personal life and acting career.

On her current custody battle with ex-husband Bob Whitfield.

“Unfortunately, nothing has changed and we’re still going back to court but hopefully we will come to an agreement and find some sort of resolution because it’s a story that’s relatable at the end of the day but I don’t need this with my kids.”

What she hopes children Tierra, Kairo,15, and Kaleigh,12, will learn from her experience.

“My mom went through the same thing but hopefully, when my kids decide to have kids they can break that cycle, and hopefully they’ll either be with people that are more responsible, you never have kids with somebody or marry somebody and think that when you break up they’re gonna stop doing what they’re supposed to do, they’re gonna become irresponsible they’re gonna become bitter—you don’t think like that so hopefully my kids will be more responsible and make better decisions than I didn’t.”

On her acting career.

“I’ve been getting a lot of scripts sent to me lately, so I am definitely going to be going back in that direction. And I’ve been working with an acting coach, and this will be a really good project for me that I’m working on. We’re actually working on the deal right now so if it does come to fruition I will definitely let you guys know.”

The ideal role.

“Something that you guys think is out of character for me. I’m actually kind of goofy—not goofy but I love to laugh. I love to laugh and have fun, so that’s probably a role that people would think would be difficult for me—doing something comedic. On the show, they always have me in this serious light where it looks like I don’t smile and I don’t laugh and that’s it.”

Tia Mowry-Hardrict is a wife, mother, and actress on the hit show The Game. She recently discussed the show and motherhood with BET.

The Game Season 5: What viewers can expect to see from Derwin and Melanie.

“This year what I love about Derwin and Melanie is that whenever they have something bothering them they have made a pact to forget all the lies. They’ll be no more hidden secrets, they’ve decided to just bring everything out in the forefront. So now they always speak what’s on their minds. You’ll see a sense of truthfulness and maturity with Melanie this year. And you’ll see a sense of independence. For the past few seasons she’s always been very supportive of her husband and kind of submissive.”

On acting, motherhood, and being a wife to actor Cory Hardrict.

“Back when I was in college I was doing Sister, Sister at the same time. And I recently stumbled across some 40-page research papers I wrote and I asked myself, “How in the h*** did you do this Tia?” I just don’t think too much about it. If you over-analyze it, it becomes overwhelming. But if you just do it and find the enthusiasm in whatever you’re doing, you’ll find the strength. I love what I do. I’ve been [acting] since I was 14 years old and it’s all I know. I’m having fun, I’m on a playground right now. I’m like, recess? I don’t want that bell to ring.”

The motherhood experience.

“When I’m with my son, Cree, I give him 110%. My favorite role yet is being a mother and it’s really grounded me as a person. I don’t really know how life was before. It felt selfish and now everything is about him. When I’m working, I’m working for him. I was just talking to [my sister] Tamera [Mowry-Housley] the other day and she said, ‘You could be having a bad day but as soon as you see your son it shifts gears.’ He just gives me unbelievable amounts of joy.”

Fitness Guru and Biggest Loser trainer Jillian Michaels is one step closer to motherhood. The fitness specialist recently told Access Hollywood that she has been matched with a little girl from Haiti. Michaels states, “I’ve been matched with a little girl [from Haiti]. But, I now have to get her home… It could take up to a year to get her home.”

Jillian fell in love with the child after visiting an orphanage in the country. As Michaels explains, “I went over to visit orphanages and I ended up falling in love with this little girl, and by the grace of God, I got matched up with her. So now, it’s just a matter of trying to get her home and anything can happen and fall through or fall apart, so it’s kind of premature for me to say it, but that’s where it’s at. So if it falls apart, you’ll know why I’m like, devastated and not coming out of my house for months.”

Jillian recently announced plans to depart from the Biggest Loser in hopes of having children. If all goes well, the little girl will be Michaels’ first child.
