RAY LEWIS III IS FOLLOWING IN DAD’S FOOTSTEPS
After announcing his retirement from the NFL during the playoffs, Ray Lewis has a follower in the person of his son. Ray Lewis III wants to be just like dad, committing to the same college (University of Miami) as his father and playing football like Ray II. A Senior in high school, Ray III has already made his mark in scoring 100 touchdowns and totaling around 9,000 yards.
Dad couldn’t be more proud of his son telling the press, “I always promised my son if he got a full ride on scholarship Daddy is going to be there, I can’t miss that. My children have made the ultimate sacrifice for their father for 17 years. I don’t want to see them do that no more. I’ve done what I wanted to do in this business, and now it’s my turn to give them something back.”
Ray III is ecstatic to hear that his dad, after several years of professional football playing and becoming recognized as one of the best linebackers of all time, is retiring from the league. “For me it means he’ll be around more to see my college games and be involved in my life even more and stuff like that,” said the up-and-coming star. “Many fans love him and might be disappointed about him retiring or whatever else they might be saying and different things like that, but to me he’s just dad. I don’t really look at him as this big athlete or this huge sports figure. To me, he’s just my dad.”
Ray Lewis has six children in all.

As a life coach of middle school and high school students and the adults who care about them along with being a big football fan I was glad to see this young man so committed. I wish him nothing but success and a rock solid plan b if he gets injured because there is no limit to what he can achieve with a plan.
Love my Florida native Ray Lewis and everything thing he does professionally. I too learned a lot about Ray by watching a Football Life. Glad he’s going to be there for his son. That’s what’s most important & the ending to his final game in Baltimore was classic!
I learned alot about Ray after watching the football story on the NFL network. He really comes across as a good guy that loves football and his family. It showcased his kids and his son is really talented. I am sure he will go far.
Congratulations Tre. U of Miami not only is strong athletically but academically.
