Proud papa Jay-Z took to his website Life& Times to share a recent picture of Blue Ivy, who celebrated her first birthday on January 7th. “Last day of vacation, playing UNO,” Jay-Z wrote as a caption to the silhouette.
We’re sure Blue enjoyed her birthday! How fast they grow!

You guys are forgetting for YEARS….Their ENTIRE lives Michael Jackson hid his children’s faces. She doesn’t have to show her baby’s face and it doesn’t mean the child is fake or whatever rumors you people are trying to make up. Sooo as a high profile celebrity it makes PERFECT sense for her to hide her child’s face. She’s not the only celebrity to do that. Get a life.
From the facial pictures we got of her, to me she looks like a mix of both of them.
Why don’t they just show her face?

Funny how there’s so many thumbs down on comments mentioning how much they’d like to be able to clearly see Blue’s face. None that I read were insulting, so I don’t see a reason for thumbs downs. Of course we’re curious. We have a right to be.
Beyonce announced her pregnancy, of course we will wonder what her baby looks like.

Shout out to Blue. The only baby I know that gets grown adults angry because they feel entitled to her pics. Lmao. Hope she had a great frist birthday. I saw the unfiltered pic on another site and it looked like she was having a jolly ol’ time playing UNO/Making a mess all by her self. Lol
The way I see it, Blue Ivy,s parents are trying to create a hype over pictures of their daughter. They want to create such a strong desire , that the only thing people want , is to see her face! And I think its starting to work too.
It has absolutely nothing to do with keeping their child out of the public eye.. If that was the case they would not post ANY pics at all!
Shame on them for using their daughter in that way , and claiming something else!

I understand if they want to keep their child’s identity private, after all Bey & Jay aren’t the first and alone celeb parents to keep their kids faces out of the public eye and they won’t be the last. (we didn’t see Jennifer Hudson’s or Alicia Keys’s kids until they were 1 year old, we went almost 2 years b4 we saw NeYo’s 2 kids, we rarely saw MJ’s kids unmasked until he die and there are other celebs who choose not put their kids in media.) so, they are not the first nor will they be the last. but, like everybody else I want to see band new pics of Blue Ivy too that not blurry, dark, faded, far away or any of her head (top, bottom or back) or any of her body parts either. I hope that now the Blue’s is 1 now and walking and Beyonce going to be coming back with doing the inauguration and next month with her doing the Super Bowl, her HBO special and a possible new album later this year, I hopfully Bey & Jay will do some TV talk shows interviews or do a interview with Barbra Walters, Oprah or somebody or do another tumblr than maybe & hopfully we will finally see some good pics of little miss Blue Ivy’s cute little face (I know she cute)

Beyonce was very happy to show clear newborn photos of Blue, with her fragile features and straight hair.
I honestly see nothing wrong with this. A lot of celebrities use the interest in their children for publicity making their children celebrities in their own right and the Carter’s don’t want to do that. Like any parent they want to share pictures of their kids but they don’t want her to be known like that. Fine with me.

i think jay and bey know their fans want to see blue but they also know that fans arent going to be the only ones looking at her photos. people are going to be cruel about blue’s photos so i can see where theyre coming from. i think gradually over time when the world calms down about this little girl, theyll post visible pictures of her. theyre showing pics for the fans to atleast give the SOMETHING, but blurring them to protect her from haters. not saying that people wont be cruel about these pics either but i hope my point is understood.

Dont get me wrong, I LOVE Jay and Bey but if you want to keep your daughter out of the spot light then by all means do so..but stop sending these blurry/dark/who knows if its really Blue pictures out. If you dont want to show your child then dont show her..but also dont send out these dumb photos.

In my opinion..i repeat in my opinion i just dont by the whole “privacy routine”. I get that they want Blue to have a normal childhood and that they want to keep their lives private but i feel like sometimes they do things for ratings. I was talking to my sister the other day and i said its funny how Jay Z acted like Beyonce did something wrong when she said she loved him during her acceptance speech but he didnt even wait a whole day after Little Blue was born to create a song and put her crying in the background and not to mention letting the world know where Blue was conceived and that Beyonce had a miscarriage..maybe im reaching but it doesnt add up to me.
