SHAWTY LO SAYS HE TAKES CARE OF HIS 11 KIDS
Carlos Walker, a.k.a. Shawty Lo, wants the world to know that he takes care of all of his kids. The rapper recently set the record straight during an exclusive talk with MTV saying, “You can hate all you want to, I didn’t ask for it. It just happened. Now that it happened, I’m supposed to turn my back against it? If I wasn’t taking care of my kids then you would really dog me out, but I’m taking care of my kids, providing for my family. I don’t know what else to say.”
Shawty began building his family while living Atlanta, Georgia. As he explains, “I came to be one of the largest drug dealers to come from Atlanta, Bankhead area and I started havin’ kids. When the money came, a lot of women came…They used to take the money and run with it, and they’d have a baby by the most popular guy in the street, and that’s how I had all them kids.”
Now a father of eleven children by ten different women, Shawty has a bit of advice for young fathers: “Even if you ain’t got the money, you gotta be a father to your child. You need to be in your child’s life, ’cause that means a lot to them. Comin’ up, we didn’t have Thanksgiving, we didn’t have Christmas, but if I had my father there, if I even had my mother there, I probably wouldn’t have been that person I was in the streets.”

He said that they were bashing him for having 11 kids and that long as he takes care of them then people shouldn’t bash him thats all he’s saying. IDK about that IT happens part I totally don’t agree with that because 11 kids don’t just happen O_o but he is saying he is not a deadbeat and he is in his kids life financially, emotionally, physically etc.
Wow…really don’t know what to say about this but glad to know he is supporting them financially and emotionally. But I would imagine it still would be difficult because it’s so many. I still think having so many kids and not being married is a very selfish act. Because I am a single parent of one and it can be challenging. I struggle all the time just to make sure I’m giving my son all the love and attention he needs. So I can’t imagine what pressure it is with having 11 kids. It seems like in his eyes he still did nothing out of the ordinary. I am a firm believer kids should have all the opportunities as possible. And if you can’t provide financially and emotionally you should not have them. I was 22 when I had my son, and he will be 16 soon. I was not ready to be a parent but it happened and I did what I had to do. But my point is knowing how hard it was I didn’t have anymore. I know sometimes things don’t always end up the traditional way. But I do agree with a lot of tradtional ways. So I guess at the end of the day it’s all about what you believe in but when you have a child I truly believe one needs to think about the responsibilities that come along with having a child.

I don’t think he’s looking for any credit I think this statement was just for the people who were doubting him and saying negative things about him.

Lord, have mercy! This is probably…scratch that. This is THE most ignorant thing I’ve ever heard. I’m sorry but you don’t get a special treat or kuddos for taking care of YOUR KIDS! They are…your kids and therefore YOUR RESPONSIBILITY! SMH!

I’m sorry but 11 kids don’t just happen. I never thought it was possible for this man to sound even dumber than I already thought he was, but he just outdid himself with this statement.

Ugh, I don’t think anyone is “hating” on him as he says. No one in their right mind is going to praise him for having 11 children with 10 different women. Some women do come when the money comes but he knew that before he slept with every last one of them without a condom so I just don’t wanna hear him anymore. I wish he go away b/c him takin care of his 11 kids doesn’t make him look good, he’s just doing what he’s supposed to do. But I do give him credit for being in their lives…

I hate to even comment on this foolery, but I will say that none of the children pictured remotely resemble each other OR the father. What a mess…was he addicted to the drugs he was serving? Eleven kids all over the place usually spells crackhead in this day/age. Ijs
Wow I can’t believe how more ignorant this article made him sound. Most people learn after a few “oops” but dude 11 kids is A LOT. He’s doing exactly what a parent is suppose to do, support and nurture their children. SMH
