Beyonce talks fake pregnancy rumors and motherhood in a newly released interview with GQ magazine. Check out highlights from the interview now!

On what motherhood has taught her about herself:
“When I gave birth, that was the first time I truly let go and surrendered. And it taught me how amazing that feels… Giving birth made me realize the power of being a woman. I have so much more substance in my life. And expressing that excitement and that sensuality and the connection I have with my husband—I’m a lot more comfortable with that now. I actually feel like my child introduced me to myself.”

On those infamous fake pregnancy rumors:
“I felt like I kind of had to protect my mother, because when people made up the silliest rumor about me not really being pregnant, she was there when I went through all of those things. And my sister. They were very, very defensive. It’s not personal to me, and it comes along with the job, but the lack of respect—people will just go too far sometimes.”

On husband Jay-Z:
“I was independent before I met my husband, and we have such a natural chemistry and a genuine relationship, and it’s based on the things that relationships are supposed to be based on. I’ve seen, growing up, when a woman or a man in a relationship—it doesn’t matter which one—doesn’t feel confident, they feel a bit trapped. Your self-worth is determined by you. You don’t have to depend on someone telling you who you are.”

  1. I’m not a diehard fan of hers (I know folks who are in awe of Beyonce). This young woman is truly blessed. She’s extremely dedicated to her craft, family, etc. As for the rumors, she’s better off allowing them to roll right off her shoulders.

  2. SMH CAUSE THATS ALL I CAN DO AT ALL THESE NEGATIVE COMMENTS… i’m glad i dont think about her one way or another her personal choices in life is her own…

  3. I swear the BeyHive just sit on the computer all day, googling Bey’s name to see what articles pop up of hers. B/c yall are real silent when Bey is not around, but come out the woodwork, shouting “King Bey, I bow to you!!!” when there is a post smh. Not everybody has to like, adore, praise Beyonce.

I do believe she carried Blue, but i can understand how all the rumors started. She went about everything really really weird lol. She went from having no problem being naked, to want to cover up, to now being on a magazine cover naked again. She had the big, dramatic pregnancy announcement to wanting to be private. She showed pics of Blue as an infant to showing her foot & shadow. It’s just all weird lol. Bey is a sweet woman, but she thirsty for attention. She loves all the anticipation behind her. She is like a robot that gets fed lines, it’s ok to not be prefect Beyonce. Remember your song “Flaws & all??” I would like her a whole lot more if she was more “real,” & didn’t try to be perfect all the time

    • @Trisha, your’re probably right about the googling thing or maybe she has someone doing it on her behalf.

With the front facial pictures shown of Blue with Jay-Z after they exited the helicopter I didn’t see the point of hiding Blue’s face after that. Her face was shown and I think she’s a softer, feminine version of her dad.

Seems like to continue hiding Blue’s face is like closing the barn door after the horse has escaped.

  4. When it comes to BCK, a Beyonce topic is becoming filled with “opinions” from the birds.
I used to like the sense the commenters had on this board, but uh, it’s declining.
Man, that Beyonceitis is real smh lol

  5. I liked her in the early years but as she got more airbrushed and processed I stopped liking her and the music. I feel the same about the women on reality (not really reality) television. These people are not who/what I want my daughter to emulate. I want her to emulate Brown University president Ruth Simmons, or any number of black female scholars, executives or just artists who do not put style over substance.

  6. They should haved invited instead to sing at the inauguration she das such a beautiful voice..I can’t understand why Beyonce is more famous than brandy…Beyonce voice is not half as beautiful as brandy’s voice…her voice annoys me

  7. If you read Fakeonyce, lol, response to the fake pregnancy question, she NEVER , denied anything. She gave a general answer, typical trickery of the Knowles family. Smdh!

  8. Im trying to figure out why people dislike her so much. Nothing about her is fake. Beyonce is still the same way she was when she was with Destiny’s Child just mature. I like her and she’s such a role model. It’s never a negative story about her in the spotlight unless people are making them up. Keep on doing your thing Beyonce!!!

    • I’m trying to figure out why her fans are ready to kill anyone that doesn’t adore her like they do. You love, her..nice. Someone else hates her..nice. But Beyonce’s crazy fans are the only people I know who will threaten you, curse you out, etc if you don’t worship her like they do. Even MJ’s fans weren’t this bad. It’s like you guys are under some form of twisted spell. It’s not even that serious.

      • Have you not heard of Justin Beibers fans? They are way worst. Google cut for beiber. It gets way worst than Beyonce’s stans

        • Beiber is a young white boy, his fan base doesn’t concern me nor connect to me. Even my son isn’t a fan. Name another black celebrity that has crazy fans like Beyonce & I may humor you.

        • Yes Bieber fans are crazy, but the difference is his fans are tweens where as Bey stans are grown adults. Which, in my opinion, makes it a whole lot worse. Grown adults getting in their feelings b/c someone doesn’t like their fav celeb, grown adults who call her King & Bey-Jesus, grown adults turning into 8 yr olds on the playground calling others names, & etc.

      • I never see so much Anger/Hate on a post then when it is a Beyonce post. Why can’t we be happy that a successful black woman has accomplished the things she’s had?

        • Yes yes yes! Even if one doesn’t like her music or her style or her personality, she has done a lot and achieved a lot as a young black woman. Can’t we just applaude that and be proud? There are tons of black entertainers/public figures that are looked up to and applauded who don’t even portray black peope in a positive light. What has Beyonce done that is so bad? Because it’s not just opinions, the hate is real. An opinion would be I dont like her music, she is boring.. etc etc, but the unfounded stories of illuminati and fake pregnancy and deaths and all that other nonsense with NO proof whatsoever is baffling.

  9. I didn’t even bother to read the article. Personally, I’m tired of hearing about Beyonce. All day I’ve been hearing about her lip syncing the national anthem or the Superbowl event.. I would love a week without seeing or hearing about Beyonce, Kim K, Amber or Rhianna & Karamachuke.

      • I just may need to take a hiatus from the internet & tv. It use to be how I relaxed but lately, it’s been insane.

  10. QUESTION??? Why if u dislike Beyonce u get so many thumbs down, r u not obligated to dislike her! My only thing I swear is, if she would just explain that folding dress. Like how in the hell did it fold like that?

    • Her, Ms Tina, and even the Australian people that interviewed her, already explained that it was the dress that folded. Her dress was a flowy fabric. They even show from behind angles that did not show any strapes or anything to hold a prosthetic baby bump.

    • It is not about you disliking Beyonce. Of course not everybody is gonna like you. The thing is, i get you have an opinion and you have the right to voice our opinion, but just because you have that right doesn’t mean you should. Yes, they have to have thick skin to be in this industry, but they are still human beings and they still have feelings. Alot of people don’t realize that, and when it comes to Beyonce, it seems like she can never win with you people. You all criticize everything she does. You criticize her hair, the way she talks, her skin, her marriage, her daughter, her personality, her body and her friendships, her feelings, her talent, her acting, and everything else. What i admire most about her is that she never seems to respond to the bs. Alot of you criticize her and use the word opinion as an excuse. Well alot of people just say things and can’t explain it. For example they call beyonce fake but the can’t give a fact to support that statement. Saying she has fake hair would contradict themselves because most African American and even Caucasian women either wear, weave, wigs, or extensions.

  11. I have no sympathy for her. Bleaching her skin, fake booty, fake pregnancy, fake/arranged business deal wedding, her “baby”keeps changing, sonogram with no date or name on it…and now she do a fake performance at the most historical event in our lifetime. Smh, I just can’t take anymore of her antics. Please, just be normal, no one is perfect bey so stop trying.

    • Beyonce has not bleached her skin. In her baby pictures She is as light as Tina. Its mostly the light. Why would she marry Jay z when she couldve married someone more Attractive and just as rich. Stop with the bs.

        • A LOT of people believe it or not. The US is huge as is the world. There are many millionaires and billionaires outside of the known rap industry.

          • Yes well Bey is IN the music industry and IN the music industry Jay-Z is the richest, Bey aint goin’ for Bill Gates types…..

  12. Queen B!!! Thanks BCK for the highlights. The rumors are really so silly to me. Glad to see she wasn’t hurt. As a mom I’d be ANGRY if someone even implied I didnt carry and nurture my children for 9 months then gave birth to them. Kudos to her.
