NFL player Reggie Bush and his pregnant girlfriend Lilit Avagyan were spotted shopping in Los Angeles on 1/26/13. The expectant parents looked content as they walked hand in hand.

In October of last year, Reggie officially confirmed with The New York Daily News that he and Lilit are expecting.

“I have a little one on the way. We’re pretty excited. We haven’t found out if its a boy or a girl. It’s an opportunity to raise a child. That’s the most special gift for a man and a woman.”

“I’m hoping for a boy because if its a girl, I’m going straight to the gun shop to buy some guns.”

Lilit is due to give birth in April.

  1. Hey! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any issues with
hackers? My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing a few months of hard work due to no data backup.

Do you have any solutions to protect against hackers?

  2. 2 things.
#1. Why is she carrying the bags?
    abd
#2. She looks like kim would look in another 10-15 years. I see a little Vanessa, but more an older looking kim.

  3. Reggie may get his wish. She looks like she’s carrying a boy but cant really tell from the photo. I hope they have a healthy baby and wish them well.

  5. Doesn’t ever guy secretly want a son first?

I know I was hoping for a boy first then a girl, but I got the girl first then the boy, haha.

    • LMAO I was thinking the same thing as soon as I read “hand in hand”. I looks like they were, but Reggie has something in his hand, so no! Maybe in some other photos, lol.

  6. @Dalla, to answer your question you may want to look at US Census records. And in looking at those records it makes us; as Black people; look bad.

Coming out of slavery; at the first opportunity given; Black people got married (check out “Who Do You Think You Are?”, the Blair Underwood episode), even up into the 50′s and 60′s marriage was still important. Then something happened (I don’t know what, both of my parents were born out of wedlock to Black mother’s ’64 & ’79, thankfully, both white father’s claimed their children, and they did not follow the same path, choosing to marry).

Reggie Bush was given his father’s name but he was raised by his step-father, his step-father is not with his mother anymore but his “parents” are why he had to give back the Heisman. He deserved the Heisman, but rules are rules and giving his parents a free place to stay was against the rules.

You’re asking a man who was born OOW, to a mother who was born OOW to find wedlock important. I don’t know anything about the woman he is with but I’m going to go WAY OUT on a limb and bet a months allowance that she was born in wedlock but is willing to put values and morals aside to have Reggie Bush’s baby.

I know there are more, and you are welcomed to correct me, but right off I can only think of one pro athlete featured on BCK to come from a two parent home (made up of his two bio parents), and that’s Grant Hill. His mum was a roommate of Hillary Clinton in college.

@Dalla, you would think that these men would want something different for their children from how they were brought up, but the only difference is that their children are being brought up in a better standard of living.

Daddy is not married to mummy, but granddad didn’t marry grandma and great- granddad didn’t marry great-grandma.

But to be honest, it’s not just the athlete’s faults, it’s the white managers that tell these athletes that it’s cheaper to pay child support than alimony. It’s also the faults of our sister’s who tolerate nonsense from Black men to hold on to them.

I’ve made reference to this before but since I read everything I can’t remember where the article came from but it talked about the “ride or die” girl (with or without kids) who got left behind when the athlete found someone “better” and married the “better” (who turned out to be really light complected or white), while never marrying them. And several of the men (not only athletes) mentioned are regularly featured on BCK .

Just something to think about, but if every woman in a mans life told him; whether in deed or word; that the behavior he exhibits towards women is okay, why would he change?

Sorry for writing a book, but can I add I can’t stand to see a woman with bags in her hands and the man walking next to her is carrying rien.

    • WHY DOES IT MAKE BLACK PEOPLE LOOK BAD? WHAT ABOUT WHITE PEOPLE? THEY ARE NOT GETTING MARRIED EITHER. THERE ARE PLENTY OF WHITES WHO ARE HAVING BABIES WITHOUT BEING MARRIED. REGGIE IS WITH A WHITE WOMAN SO HOW CAN ALL THE BLAME FALL ON HIM? HAVE YOU EVER WATCHED 16 AND PREGNANT. MOST OF THEM YOUNG GIRLS ARE WHITE!

      • @Connie1, No offence intended but I referenced Black people because I am Black, and this site is called BCK.

The US Census records are very accurate, even allowing for a +/- situation, the census takers (aka white people) wanted to know exactly how many Blacks were in an area and what their status was.

I have actually seen census records from that era to present (for California, Georgia, Texas and Louisiana when my mum was researching my dads American ancestry) , and they list everything about a free Black person, down to the percentage of white they had in them ( they use terms like griffe, mulatto, mustefino, octoroon, terceron, and quintroon to describe how much white we had in us).

They made certain to accurately count us since they were afraid of us. And marriage was very important to free Blacks since for the most part they could not get married when they were slaves (some slave owners did allow their slaves to marry).

@Connie1, again I mean no offence since I don’t know if you have actually looked at the census records from your state (I’m assuming you are in the US), but you’ll notice where marriage was important and when you get into the sixties you’ll see where the head of household starts being and then continuing on to be female. It’s like some families just GAVE UP.

Lots of Black women have raised upstanding, god fearing Black men on their own, without the benefit of support or marriage. I’m not saying that to be born OOW is a bad thing; as both of my parents were born OOW; I’m saying its not a good thing either.

And quite frankly; even at my age; I’m am tired of seeing more pregnant girlfriends than wives here and other blogs. I would rather see Mr. and Mrs. Reggie Bush (not that her last name has to be Bush, my parents have been married for almost 18 years and my mother has never taken my dads name) than Reggie Bush and pregnant girlfriend.

Maybe you can give me the reason why marriage stopped being important, I would love to have that answer during one of our family discussions. Will make coming to BCK pay off :-) .

    • WHY DOES IT MAKE AFRICAN AMERICAN PEOPLE LOOK BAD? WHAT ABOUT CAUCASION PEOPLE? THEY ARE NOT GETTING MARRIED EITHER. THERE ARE PLENTY OF CAUCASIONS WHO ARE HAVING BABIES WITHOUT BEING MARRIED. • OXFORD, THE RECORDS THAT YOU ARE REFERRING TO ARE NOT ACCURATE. THEY WANT TO MAKE OUR RACE FEEL BAD BUT THE TRUTH IS, EVERY RACE IS DOING IT AND HAS THEIR ISSUES.
