QUVENZHANE DOES DOUBLE DUTY
Quvenzhane Wallis had a busy weekend. The young starlet attended the 44th NAACP Image Awards at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California on February 1st, where Samuel L. Jackson asked her on stage to accept an award on behalf of Viola Davis. The next night she attended the 65th Annual Directors Guild Of America Awards at Ray Dolby Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland, where she presented an award to director Paul Hoen for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Children’s Programs for the Disney movie “Let It Shine.”
Quvenzhane has been up for several awards herself. She is currently nominated for an Oscar in the category of Best Actress in a Leading Role, making her the youngest in Academy Award history.
