Quvenzhane Wallis attended the 32nd annual Oscar nominee luncheon at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, California on February 4th.
Although the mini-star was one of the last names to be called to take her position on the riser, she received one of the loudest rounds of applause, according to nola.com. She even gave the president of the Academy, Hawk Koch, a high-five as she was seated in front of the centerpiece and next to Bradley Cooper (“Silver Lining Book” and “The Hangover”).
Before the festivities Quvenzhane posed for pictures with Hollywood superstar Denzel Washington, who is, himself, a fan of the young starlet. “Maybe if I’m nice to her, she’ll put me in one of her movies,” he told the press.
The “Beasts of the Southern Wild” actress donned her usual puppy purse for the event. “That’s my signature,” she told Ellen Degeneres in an interview.
The 85th annual Academy Awards will air live on February 24th on ABC.
