CARMELO ANTHONY: ‘MY SON WILL BE GOING TO COLLEGE’
Carmelo Anthony is adamant about his son, Kiyan, attending college when the time is right. The basketball player recently visited ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon‘ where he talked about his jersey being retired during Syracuse University’s game with Georgetown and his son’s projected educational path.
Carmelo plans to be in attendance with his wife and son when the school retires his jersey in the upcoming game against Georgetown University. He and La La are especially anxious to get Kiyan on the university campus as they have already begun planning for his college career. “My son definitely needs to be there to see the whole university atmosphere because he will be going to college. He don’t have a choice,” said Carmelo to Fallon.
Although it’s been ten years since Carmelo won the championship with his collegiate teammates, the NBA star told Jimmy that it feels like he won the Syracuse game yesterday. “That’s where it all started for me,” explained Anthony. “I sit back and I look at that and I watch the old footage, the old games. I feel like I’m still there.”
Carmelo will be featured on the third season of his wife’s reality show, ‘La La’s Full Court Life,’ scheduled to premiere on February 18, 2013 via VH1′s network. Fans of La La can see her juggle motherhood with career aspects, including the debut of her makeup line, at 10PM ET/PT. Kiyan is Carmelo and La La’s first child together.
