Quvenzhane Wallis had a very busy weekend. The young actress attended the 85th Annual Academy Awards at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood, California on February 24th.

Many people speculated about what the mini actress would wear to the big event, where she ultimately chose a little navy blue Armani gown and added a very special sparkly puppy purse, which even wore its own tiara and tutu.

Quvenzhane is the youngest person in the history of the Academy Awards to be nominated in the category of Best Actress.

She also attended the 2013 Film Independent Spirit Awards at Santa Monica Beach in Santa Monica, California on February 23rd.

  1. Why BCK are all my comments being censored? They need one of you guys on the onion. :). To add to my original comment, Que will knock the Annie role out of the park. They’ll be sitting there wondering when Annie was ever white.

  2. God does not like ugly & anyone wishing/speaking bad towards children will get what’s coming to them tenfold. To call this innocent, young child the name they called her is despicable! Never has anyone said anything remotely disrespectful towards Dakota Fleming, Drew Barrymore or any other young white child actress. But because sh’es black, it’s ok? Unbelievable. I pray this young lady turns out to be greater than Halle Berry & she tells the people that posted that tweet to lick the very same word they use.

  3. She looked amazing on the Red Carpet….such a beautiful little girl with lots of big talent as well. I also was reading the awful comments she received ,when they announced she was going to be the new ‘Annie’. Keep staying positive Q and the stars will always shine bright.

  4. Young Q is doing postive things for a nine years old. She is great in my eyes, love her look for the Oscar and the negative comments she recieved are wrong. Coming from grown people and the ONION.
