DADDY DO-GOODER: JAMES FORTUNE

St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital has a friend in James Fortune. The singer recently visited the medical center in Memphis, Tennessee where he spent time with a 4-year-old boy diagnosed with pineoblastoma. James, along with fellow singer Vashawn Mitchell, made the preschoolers day, surprising and encouraging him to continue in the fight for survival.

Since 1962, St. Jude has researched and treated children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Fortune has been a fervent supporter of the hospital since 2010, telling the press that the medical center has helped save the lives of many children. “When St. Jude’s was established, there was only a 4% survival rate for kids with cancer,” says Fortune. “Now it’s up over 90%. That shows you how important that St. Jude’s work is for our children.  My prayer is that everyone would become a partner in hope.”

St. Jude will solicit partnership in its 2013 Radiothon on April 4, 2013. James Fortune and wife Cheryl parent five kids together.

maybe he is advocating for St Judes as part of his sentencing for his
    abuse of his son.

Sdly, maybe his wife is staying by him for the $ & lifestyle.

James Fortune is a terrible man that deserves to rot in hell for what he did to his stepson. His wife is a terrible mother for standing by him after such a horrible crime. I hope his children don’t suffer the way that little boy with 45% of his body is suffering. No matter how much charity work he does that will never make up for him ruining the life of an innocent child. It is truly sad that people support this monster and his career. I really love this blog, but it is disheartening to know that you are giving him such high praise after the heinous crime that he committed. Here is a link to the article detailing his crime if anyone is interested to know what kind of man he really is: http://www.myfoxdfw.com/story/18878108/popular-gospel-singer-taken-to-court

Beautiful family. We all make mistakes, the wife should have never let him do her son that way so she is to blame also but all is forgiven. The girls are gorgeous and the boys are handsome. The oldest girl is a beauty and the youngest girl looks like her mom. They are all gorg.

When I comment on his criminal record of child abuse, my comment must await moderation… -_-

Exactly. Bck only post what they want on here.

Who let this man anywhere near St. Jude’s CHILDREN’s Hospital and he has a record for CHILD abuse, WTF?

  • PlainMean March 19, 2013 at 4:12 pm

Seriously BCK? Daddy do-gooder? This man pled guilty to beating his 4 year old stepson and causing burns on 50% of his body! The boy is still receiving treatment from the abuse caused by Mr. Daddy Do-Gooder!

    • EVELINA RAE March 20, 2013 at 7:13 am

      OMG, seriously???

That breaks my heart, born innocent sole.

    • JaeBee March 20, 2013 at 6:57 pm

I agree. The fact that BCK would put the words “daddy do-gooder” in an article about James Fortune is an insult to all the caring, loving, true “do-gooder” daddies out there. James Fortune is a monster! And his wife is a monster for condoning what he did to her child by remaining married to him. The happy family photo that has been posted is all a facade. That man is evil incarnate! He should receive no accolades for the work that he does to try to maintain his facade.

All 5 children are cute, they’re blessed. I must add that the little girl with her hair down and the little boy in the grey sweater are just gorgeous!

    Beautiful family.
