Liya Kebede and the family smile bright for the camera. The model’s daughter, Raee, and son, Suhul, show off their cuteness as mom and dad, Kassy Kebede, support their little ones. Liya recently told the press that she loves to travel with her kids.

“I love traveling with them and opening their eyes to other cultures,” said the model. “It is very heartwarming to see them blossom and grow right in front of my eyes. Ultimately, I hope that they will cherish family, health, freedom, respect and creativity as much as I do.”

Kebede shared her secret to balancing stardom with motherhood with  Harper’s Bazar earlier this month saying, “It’s possible to embrace both,” explained the model during her talk. “I want to spend as much time as possible with my children, so I always like to keep my beauty and fashion routines effortless… but still chic! Beauty-wise, anything that can be used for more than one purpose is key, such as using a little lip gloss to smudge an eyeshadow to make it more dramatic for evening. For my wardrobe, I like to invest in classic pieces and pair them with more trendy new pieces and accessories each season. Anything that can go from day to night is a mother’s best friend.”

Liya welcomed Suhul into the world in 2001, and Raee four years later. She and Kassy wed in 2000.

  2. AFICANS ARE SO BEAUTIFUL. MAKES ME PROUD TO BE BLACK. OUR HISTORY TELLS US THAT WE COME FROM ONLY WEST AFRICA BUT I THINK SOME OF US COME FROM ALL OVER AFRICA. I THINK THAT BECAUSE A LOT OF PEOPLE IN MY FAMILY LOOK LIKE SOME OF THESE EAST AFRICANS BUT THEY ARE JUST AFRICAN AMERICAN. IT MAKES ME WONDER. LIYA IS GORGEOUS AND SO ARE HER KIDS.

    • I’m African and maybe I shouldn’t be surprised that most of black Americans don’t know their story because what you have written above show the ignorance of your ancestor’s origin. Again, the myth that Somali or Ethiopians are mixed with Arabs is a non sense… Today you can see a trace of slave descendants in South, North America, West Indies etc…but you won’t see nothing in Arabs country, there was the same number of slaves brought in America than in arabs countries. they even deny the slavery has never existed in their countries because there is no trace of black people. what do you think happened to those 10 millions slaves?

    • wow! liya’s rocks a short close crop! i’ve always seen her with waist length wigs/weave.
i just assumed she had longer hair thann this since most ethiopian ladies i know keep their hair at least shoulder length.
