CHAD OCHOCINCO AND HIS LITTLE CHAMPION
Chad Ochocinco has much to be proud of, as his 8-year-old daughter is quite the Track & Field star. The NFL player recently shared several candids of his little girl as a champion of the game, capturing Cha’iel as she holds her medals high. “Silver medal in 400 meter final, 100 meter semi finals tomorrow at 2:30,” tweeted Chad along with one of the photos.
Cha’iel is recognized as one of the fastest youth in the game right now, only being bested by another 8-year-old named Aniyah Mosley. The 8-year-old is well on her way to athletic success as she outruns the competition in the Junior Olympics and trains for a chance to compete on the world’s stage someday.
Chad recently shared his feelings about watching his daughter compete with such fierceness on the field saying, “It is scary seeing her perform at a high level at eight years old and is it cool to see it in person.” The former NFL star also commented on his experience as an athlete rising to prominence from humble beginnings of playing ball in high school. “I was average until about [age] 15 to 16 while attending Miami Beach Senior High School, when I began to peak in football,” said Chad. ” [Dennis Erickson of Oregon State University] remembered me from [playing in] camps and gave me a chance. Erickson rarely took a gamble when it came to recruiting players like me, but he was one for one and it paid off.”
Ochocinco played football while attending Santa Monica Community College immediately before transferring to Oregon State University and playing for the ‘Beavers.’ Chad last played for the Miami ‘Dolphins’ before taking a break from the NFL.
