THE DEANS IMPRESS AT THE ‘KEEP A CHILD ALIVE’ BLACK BALL
The Deans looked fabulous at this year’s ‘Keep A Child Alive’ Black Ball on Thursday (November 7). Alicia along with her husband and son electrified the red carpet scene with their love for one another, making the decade old event at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City a marvelous gathering.
The artist recently expressed gratitude in the success that her organization has experienced over these last few years. To date, ‘Keep A Child Alive’ has raised more that $18 million dollars for families affected by HIV/AIDS, and has spread the word to millions about the effects of the virus in impoverished nations. “As I look back on the last ten years, I’m overjoyed by how far we’ve come and so incredibly proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish,” says the artist. “Since day one, Keep a Child Alive has been about directly touching the people who need us most! It is such a passion for me, gives me real purpose and I couldn’t be more thankful to everyone who has supported us to make this real! We are truly touching lives, and we couldn’t do it without our Keep a Child Alive family who has made this all possible.”
Egypt is Alicia and Swizz’s first child together. ‘Keep A Child Alive’ was founded in 2003.
