NBA player Stephen Curry’s wife , Ayesha Curry, recently did a “Mommy Tag” vlog in which she revealed that she works from home so she can spend precious moments with her daughter, Riley. “I feel extremely grateful to be able to stay home with Riley,” said the basketball wife. “And I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Ayesha went on to talk about how she has the opportunity to be there for every life-changing moment that Riley experiences. “I mean, for you moms out there, you know that kids change every single day. They come home with something new, they learn something new, they’re saying new words and it’s incredible. I feel so lucky to be able to share every single moment with Riley. So I really wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Although Curry has the option of working from home, some moms don’t have the opportunity to stay home with their kids. A survey taken in 2012 revealed that nearly 50% of single parent households are headed by mothers who have to serve as both breadwinner and nurturer to their kids.

  1. That’s awesome how she views that but she should understand that a compassion vote is not what you will get when your husband is a multi millionaire. Perhaps volunteering and taking your child to some volunteer activities would be a great teaching method versus blogging from home and the child with you every day. What line of work does she do? I have found that being at home is important throughout their years, even as teenagers cause if nobodys home, then they are more apt to try things and test the waters.

  2. That’s awesome for the Curry family. Ayesha is fortunate to be able to work from home. Thankfully, her husband isn’t hurting for money either. LOL

    This family is truly blessed.

  3. Forgot to answer the question.

If I had kids, I would want to be a stay at home mom but the only way that could happen is if I married a man who made more than enough money to support us. Many families, today, barely get by with two paychecks. One paycheck is one paycheck away from being homeless for most. I wish companies, that could truly afford it, would pay their employees more.

I’m happy for the Currys. They seem like a really nice family.

      • I’m sure she’s answering the question BcK asked “it would be an easy decision if your husband is a millionaire”

        And I agree with her.

      • I am very happy for them. I watched his career, the marriage (wedding pictures),, and the birth and “life of Riley”, (pun intended!) They are the sweetest young family ever. I love to see the 3 of them interact. They are truly blessed and fortunate. Unfortunately, some people need two working parents to maintain a household.

  4. I would prefer to be a work-from-home mom. I think that is the best of both options. I would have time with my children and contribute to the household income simultaneously.
